Andres B. Alvarado, 85, of Beeville, Texas went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, May 31, 2023.
Mr. Alvarado was born March 11, 1938, to Andres and Celia (Beltran) Alvarado. He proudly served his Country in The United States Army from 1961-1963. He was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, and a 4th degree Knight of Columbus. Mr. Alvarado was a custodian and a vivid musician. Besides his love for his wife and children, music and dancing were his second love. His passion was playing the drums and singing with various conjunto bands throughout his life. Music spoke to his soul and for that love of music, he passed it down to his children and grandchildren.
He was proceeding in death by his parents, Andres and Celia Alvarado, his loving wife Maria Leonor (Garcia) Alvarado, his son, Andres Efrain “Andy” Alvarado, a sister Juanita Perez Rodriguez, and brothers Gilbert Alvarado Sr., Guadalupe Valdez Sr., and Teodoro Longoria.
Survivors include a sister Aurora Martinez of Beeville, Texas, and daughter Blanca (Juan) Garza III of Orange Grove, Texas, and four grandchildren, Marcus (Jazzmyn) Garza of Mathis, Texas, and Jaime, Javier “Javi”, and Bella Mia Garza of Orange Grove, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews.
The Garza, Alvarado, and Martinez family would like to thank Hacienda Oaks Nursing Home for taking care of Mr. Alvarado over his last years and providing excellent care. We would especially like to thank Altus Hospice for providing excellent care and Oak Memorial Funeral Home for assisting us in our time of need.
A memorial mass will be celebrated at 10 am on August 24, 2023, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Beeville, Texas. An entombment with full military honors will follow at 2 pm at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Corpus Christi, Texas.
