Tony Guerrero Obituary

BEEVILLE – Tony “Tony G” Guerrero, 57, of Beeville, died on April 18, 2019. He was born on Mar. 31, 1962 to Francisco “Tony” and Maria (Marin) Guerrero. He married Adriana Segura on Oct. 17, 1981 in Pt. Lavaca, Tx. He was employed with the Texas Dept. of Corrections at the McConnell Unit and had worked for H.E.B Grocery for several years. Tony was best known for his love of officiating football and softball as well as being a D.J.

            He is preceded in death by his father, Francisco “Tony” Guerrero and  daughter, Sonya Elaine Guerrero.

            He is survived by his wife, Adriana (Diane) Guerrero of Beeville; one daughter, Valerie (Eric) DeLeon of Calallen, Tx; one son, Diego Guerrero of Beeville, Tx; grandchildren, Alanna and Trevor DeLeon; mother, Maria Guerrero of Beeville; one sister, Diana Solis of Edinburg, Tx; three brothers, Henry Guerrero and David (Lisa) Guerrero both of Beeville and Michael Guerrero of Corpus Christi, Tx.

            Visitation will be held from 4-9 pm on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at Oak Park Memorial Funeral Chapel. A rosary will be recited at 7pm. The body of Mr. Guerrero will lie in state at 9am on Wednesday, Apr. 24, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 am with Fr. Richard Gonzales officiating. Interment will follow at Beeville Memorial Park.

            Serving as pallbearers are Diego Guerrero, Anthony Hamilton, Randy Rincon, Robby Morrish, Bryan Jones, Dickie Rodriguez, Pat McChesney and Joseph Felan.

            Honorary pallbearers are South Texas Football Officials, Greater Victoria Softball Chapter and TDCJ – McConnell Unit Employees
