Sofia (Carrillo) Longoria

BEEVILLE – Mrs. Sofia C. Longoria, 93, of Beeville, died on April 21, 2018. She was born on Sept. 18, 1924 in Pettus, Tx to the late Pablo and Dominga (Perales) Carrillo. She married Juan Longoria on Jan. 10, 1951 in Beeville, Tx. She was a retired retail sales clerk.

            She is preceded in death by her husband and seven siblings, Pablo, Guadalupe, Narcisso, Felipe and Jacinto Carrillo, Flora Ybarra and Maria Garza.

            She is survived by one daughter, Dora (Victor) Ortiz of Beeville, Tx; two grandsons, Bryan K. (Roxanne) Loya and Brandon Loya; great grandchildren, Ashley Loya, Alex Loya, Brandon Loya, Jr., Cotton Loya and Quest Loya; one great great granddaughter, Kendall Shea Loya and one nephew, Oscar Carillo.

            Visitation will be held at Oak Park Memorial Funeral Chapel on Monday, Apr. 23, from 5-9pm. A rosary will be recited at 7pm. The body of Mrs. Longoria will lie in state at 9:30am on Tuesday, Apr. 24, at St. James Catholic Church. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am with Fr. Paul Kottackal officiating. Burial will follow at Beeville Memorial Park.

            Serving as pallbearers are Bryan Loya, Brandon Loya, Alex Loya, Cotton Loya, Brandon Loya, Jr. and Oscar Carrillo.
