Santiago Castro, Jr. Obituary

PETTUS – Santiago Castro, Jr. 65, of Pettus, died on March 20, 2019. He was born on April 7, 1953 in Pettus, Tx to Santiago and Maria Esperanza (Chavera) Castro. He was a retired truck driver and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Diana Moron.

He is survived by one daughter, Veronica (Philip) Alaniz of Karnes City, Tx; three grandchildren, Serenity Alexandria Alaniz, Sincere Ateius Alaniz and Syrhian Alexander Alaniz; one brother, Daniel (Diana) Gonzales of Houston, Tx; five sisters, Dalia Meyers of York, PA., Delma Gregory of LaBelle, FL., Debbie Metz of Center Hill, Fl., Vicki Chase of Lake Helen, FL. and Tamela Metz of Sanford, Fl.

Visitation will be held from 5-9 pm on Monday, Mar. 25, at Oak Park Memorial Funeral Chapel. A rosary will be recited at 7pm. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Mar. 26, at 10am at Oak Park Memorial with Deacon Roger Rosenbaum officiating.

Interment with full military honors will follow at the Pettus cemetery.
