Manuel Gonzales Obituary

BEEVILLE – Manuel J. Gonzales, of Beeville, died on Jan. 16, 2018. He was born in Beeville, Tx. on Oct. 19, 1946 to Manuel V. and Jovita (Jaramillo) Gonzales. He married Sophia Salinas on Nov. 7, 1991 in Beeville. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and had worked for the U.S. Border Patrol and Postal Service.

He is preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Sandra Cuellar.

He is survived by his wife, Sophia S. Gonzales of Beeville; one son, Manuel J. (Amanda) Gonzales of Lubbock, Tx; two daughters, Lisa (Roy) Gutierrez of Ft. Worth, Tx and Cynthia (Javier Perez) Cano of Beeville; two sisters, Josie Gonzales and Cynthia Alvarado both of Beeville, Tx. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 3-9pm on Friday, Jan. 19, at Oak Park Memorial Funeral Chapel. A rosary will be recited at 7pm with Deacon Roger Rosenbaum officiating. Interment with full military honors will be held at a future date at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery in Corpus Christi, Tx.
