SKIDMORE – Mrs. Juanita Jasso Tamez, 64, of Skidmore, died on March 13, 2018. She was born on Feb. 8, 1954 in Robstown, Tx to the late Manuel S. and Candida (Mares) Jasso. She married Enrique Tamez on Nov. 3, 1973 in Robstown, Tx.
She is survived by her husband, Enrique Tamez, Sr. of Skidmore, Tx; one son, Enrique (Melissa Galindo) Tamez, Jr. of Papalote, Tx; three daughters, Jessica (Juan) Carabajal and Jennifer Tamez both of Ingleside, Tx and Juanita (Billy Perez) Tamez of Skidmore, Tx; two brothers, Gilbert (Janie) Jasso of Robstown, Tx and Quirino (Diana) Jasso of Nixon, Tx; two sisters, Yolanda (Jesus) Lascano of Robstown, Tx and Rose Mary Mottu of Houston, Tx. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 3-9pm on Monday, Mar. 19, at Oak Park Memorial Funeral Chapel. A rosary will be recited at 7pm. The body of Mrs. Tamez will lie in state at 9am Tuesday, Mar. 20, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 10am with Fr. Richard Gonzales officiating. Interment will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery in Skidmore, Tx.
Serving as pallbearers are Brandon Matthew Garcia, Mark Anthony Garza, Jr., Juan Ramon Carabajal, Sr; Juan Ramon Carabajal, Jr., Jesus Lascano, Jr., Quirino Jasso, Jr. and Billy Joe Perez, Jr.
