Johnny Rothbauer Ramirez

BEEVILLE – Johnny Rothbauer Ramirez, 81, of Beeville, died on June 5, 2019. He was born on Jan. 17, 1938 in Beeville, Tx to the late Charlie L. and Louisa Anna (Rothbauer) Ramirez, Sr. He married Maria Elena Arrisola on April 26, 1959 in Beeville, Tx. He was the owner of Johnny’s Paint and Body Shop, which he operated since 1963. He was a devoted member of St. James Catholic Church.

            He was preceded in death by four brothers, Charlie Ramirez, Jr., Antonio Ramirez, Rudy Ramirez, David Ramirez and two sisters, Alice Moran and Mae Pacheco.

            He is survived by his wife, Mary A. Ramirez of Beeville; one daughter, Sabrina R. Moreno of Beeville; three sons, Johnny A. Ramirez, Jr. and Joe (Olivia) Ramirez both of Beeville and Stanislaus (Figen) Ramirez of Houston, Tx; three sisters, Frances (Tony) Garza of Corpus Christi, Tx and Elva (Rey) Hernandez and Delia (Vito) Greco both of Houston, Tx. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

            Visitation will be held on Friday, June 7, from 1 pm to 5 pm at Oak Park Memorial Funeral Chapel. Visitation will resume at 6pm at St. James Catholic Church with a rosary to be recited at 7 pm. Viewing will also be held on Saturday, June 8, at Oak Park Memorial Chapel from 9 am – 12 noon. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 2 pm Saturday, June 8, at St James Church with Fr. Jacob Valayath officiating. Interment will follow at Beeville Memorial Park.

            Serving as pallbearers are Joe Ramirez, Jr., Eric M. Ramirez, Adrian A. Moreno, Aaron A. Moreno, Abram A. Moreno, Johnny Ramirez, III and Alexander Ramirez. Honorary pallbearers are Alyssa Moreno, Czrina Ybarra, Angela Jacobs and Brittany Ramirez.
