BEEVILLE – Isidro (Sid) C. Salinas, 78, of Beeville, passed away on July 22, 2018 after a short illness. He was born on Sept. 21, 1939 in San Diego, Tx. to the late Lorenzo and Victoria (Carabajal) Salinas. He married Pauline DeLeon on Aug. 4, 1966 in San Antonio, Tx. He was the owner and operator of Sid’s Styling Salon for 56 years. Sid loved fishing, golfing, gambling and had numerous friends, but he especially loved his son, Tinker and his granchildren. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Rick Salinas and one sister, Lupita Garcia.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Pauline D. Salinas of Beeville, Tx; one son, John “Tinker” (Nichol) Salinas of Katy, Tx; four daughters, JoAnn (Paul) Wilkinson of Seabrook, Tx and Colorado, Jan (Steve) Lynch of Kerrville, Tx, Judy Harry of Houston, Tx and Karen (Joe) DeLaGarza of Deer Park, Tx; two brothers, Enrique (Angie) Salinas of Victoria, Tx and Lorenzo Salinas, Jr of Beeville, Tx; five sisters, Juanita Alvarado, Eva Salazar, Avelicia (Johnny) Longoria, Yolanda (Marcelino) Garcia and Sally (Joe) Gonzales all of Beeville, Tx. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5-9pm on Wednesday, July 25, at Oak Park Memorial Funeral Chapel. A rosary will be recited at 7pm. The body of Mr. Salinas will lie in state at 9am on Thursday, July 26, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10am with Fr. Richard Gonzales officiating. Graveside services and interment will be held at 12 noon on Friday, July 27, at South Park Cemetery in Pearland, Tx.

Serving as pallbearers are John Salinas, Joe DeLaGarza, Rick DeLeon, Joe Lopez, Joe Gonzales, Marcelino Garcia, Ernie Alvarado, Joe Garcia, David Salazar and Jarel Hall.

Honorary pallbearers are Steve Lynch, Paul Wilkinson, Cruz Paredez, J.B. Longoria, Aaron Gonzales and Rolando Hilario.
