Genevieve "Nene" D. Trevino

BEEVILLE – Genevieve “Nene” D. Trevino, 82, of Beeville, was called by her savior on April 21, 2018. She was born on April 27, 1935 in Gonzales, Tx to Genaro Ramos Trevino and Ygnacia (Diaz) Trevino. She had worked for many years at S&H and El Obrero Grocery Stores. She was a devoted member of St. James Catholic Church. Nene really enjoyed cooking for family and friends, playing Bingo and watching the Dallas Cowboys on TV.

            She is preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Guadalupe “Lupe” Trevino; one sister, Paula Trevino Garcia and two sisters-in-law, Hilda G. Trevino and Lupita “Lupe” Trevino.

            She is survived by three brothers, Genaro (Bobby) Trevino and Adam Trevino both of Beeville, Tx. and Robert Trevino of Austin, Tx; one sister-in-law, Nora Trevino of San Antonio, Tx; her niece and caregivers, Cynthia (Henry) Torralva, Albert (Lucy) Salazar, Abel (Maria) Gomez, Lucy Moreno, Anna Trevino and Ernest Flores, Jr. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

            Visitation will be held from 4-9pm on Tuesday, Apr. 24, at Oak Park Memorial Funeral Chapel. A rosary will be recited at 7pm. The body of Ms. Trevino will lie in state at 9:00 am at St. James Catholic Church on Wed., Apr. 25. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.

            Serving as pallbearers are Tony Moron, Gabriel Moron, Ernest Flores, Jr., John Trevino, G.R. Trevino, and Christian Moron.

            Honorary pallbearers are Albert Salazar, Abel Gomez, Henry Torralva, Jr., Louis Sanchez, Jr., Jerry Trevino, Jaime Trevino, Bobby Trevino, Paul Moron and Carlos Trevino.
