Bernarda Garcia, 98, of Skidmore, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2011. She was born August 20, 1912 in Liberty Hill, Texas the daughter of Francisco and Paz Garcia. She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist church. She is survived by daughters Noemi Moore of Skidmore, Estella Crawford of Corpus Christi, Alicia S. Chapa of Lake Jackson, and Herlinda Nunez of Annaville; sons Inocentcio Salazar of Corpus Christi, Edward Nunez and Israel Nunez both of Skidmore. Also surviving are 39 grandchildren, 91 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Roman Pruneda; sons Daniel Alfaro, Inez Salazar Jr., Avan Salazar and Ruben Salazar and grandson Inez Salazar III. Visitation will be Monday, July 11, 2011 from 7p.m. until 9p.m. at Oak Park Memorial Funeral Chapel. Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at Oak Park Memorial Funeral Chapel with Reverend Juan Ramos officiating. Interment will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery in Skidmore, Texas.
