BEEVILLE – Ricardo (Richard) Garcia, 65, gained his wings on Thursday, April 11, 2024. He was born on September 25, 1957, in Three Rivers, Texas to Francisco Garcia and Maria Valdez. Richard worked as a master electrician for 40 years. He was a loving husband, brother, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother-in-law, and friend. He was sweet and caring and always offered a lending hand to others.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Francisco Garcia, and Maria Valdez; sons, Joe Ray Lopez and Joe Richard Garza and his grandparents, Amado, and Manuela Garcia.
He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Mary Ann Garcia; one sister, Norma Caballero of George West; one brother, Roy Garcia of Arizona; two daughters, Lori Garcia (Brandon) Booker of Dallas and Nickie (Alfredo) Benavidez of Beeville and one son, Jessie (Sonya) Garza of Beeville; eleven grandchildren, Jorge Hernandez, Alliana Hernandez, Azariah Rhodes, Alfredo Ray Benavidez, Daren Benavidez, Jessica Garza, Christopher Garza, Mea Lopez, Javy Lopez, Kateri Lopez, and Ezekiel Lopez. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren, Easton Benavidez, Everlee Benavidez, Alice Garza, Breysan Turner, Amara Adriano, Jayse Cirone, Neveah Lopez, and Arius Lopez.
A visitation will be held from 3-8 pm on Monday, April 15, at Oak Park Memorial Funeral Chapel. A rosary will be recited at 7 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 am on Tuesday, April 16, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Fr. R J Regalado as celebrant. Interment will follow at the Our Lady of Victory Cemetery #2.
Serving as pallbearers are Alfredo Ray Benavidez, Daren Ray Benavidez, Christopher Garza, Ezekiel Lopez, Tony Soltio and Carlos Moron.
Honorary pallbearers are Alice, Easton, Everlee, Breyson, Jayse, Amara, Neveah, and Arius.
